Why Instalift by Silhouette is better than other PDO Threads. 150 150 faceliftart

Do you want to improve your facial appearance without undergoing invasive plastic surgery? Have you heard of Instalift by Silhouette? It is a revolutionary new procedure that uses threads to lift the skin and give you a more youthful, radiant look.

SNA Aesthetics: Facial Rejuvenation Expert in Brooklyn

PDO thread lifts are a non-surgical procedure that offers a safe, effective way to lift sagging skin in certain areas of the face. However, there is one type of thread lift that is better than the rest: Instalift by Silhouette. This type of thread lift is more expensive than others, but it offers a wide range of advantages that make it worth the investment.

Instalift by Silhouette is made of a special type of absorbable thread, called Polylactic acid, that provides greater control as the threads are inserted into the skin to lift and shape it. This type of thread has a greater number of loops and creates an instant lift, unlike traditional PDO threads, which require time to settle and show results.

The Silhouette InstaLift uses tiny bidirectional cones to lift the skin, while a PDO thread lift uses barbs. Barbed threads can lead to undesirable results, such as visible tracks on the skin when a person makes facial expressions.
The Silhouette InstaLift requires fewer threads than a PDO thread lift.  The Silhouette InstaLift’s PLLA threads dissolve after 4 to 6 months, while PDO threads can take up to 9 months to fully dissolve.

Instalift by Silhouette also offers greater longevity than other PDO threads since it holds fast due to its particular structure. It can last up to 18 months before dissolving completely. It is also FDA-approved and its effects can last up to five years with regular touch-up treatments.

Overall, this type of thread lift is more expensive than other PDO threads, but it is worth the extra money since it provides an effective and safe way to lift sagging skin, plus it offers a more durable and lasting effect. If you are looking for an effective non-surgical procedure to improve your facial appearance, Instalift by Silhouette may be the right choice for you.

Instalift vs. Surgical Facelift

Instalift vs. Surgical Facelift 150 150 faceliftart

As we age, the skin on our faces can start to look worn out and dull. Fortunately, many options are available for those looking to rejuvenate their appearance. One of the most popular treatments is an Instalift or a non surgical facelift. Here’s a closer look at how this procedure works and the benefits it can provide.

What is Instalift?

Instalift is a minimally invasive procedure that uses absorbable sutures with tiny cones to lift and contour the facial tissues. This procedure can provide natural-looking results by lifting sagging skin in areas such as the cheeks, jawline, brows, and neck. The effects of Instalift typically last up to two years, which makes it much longer lasting than other injectable solutions like Botox or dermal fillers.

Instalift vs. Surgical Facelift

The primary difference between a facelift and an Instalift is that a traditional one requires general anesthesia, while an Instalift requires no anesthesia. Additionally, a conventional facelift involves removing excess skin from the face, while an Instalift lifts and tightens existing tissue without incisions or scarring. Recovery from an Instalift is often much faster than from traditional surgery. Patients can usually return to regular activities just a few days after treatment. There can be several weeks of recovery with a facelift, even a mini facelift. An Instalift also costs less than a conventional facelift and could be covered by insurance when used for medical reasons like treating sagging jowls or drooping brows due to aging or weight loss.

Advantages of an Instalift

Instalift procedures are much less invasive than traditional surgery and present fewer risks. There’s no need to worry about adverse reactions due to anesthesia since none is used in the process or afterward. At the same time, your body recovers from being put under general anesthesia for surgery. It also eliminates downtime since you can resume your normal activities almost immediately after treatment finishes, while recovering from surgery could take several weeks, depending on how extensive it was.

Furthermore, because there are no incisions involved in these procedures, there isn’t any risk of infection like you would experience with surgical incisions. And finally, because an Instalift is done through small injections rather than large incisions, there isn’t any scarring associated with the procedure. All these factors make the Instalift one of the safest and most effective ways to improve your appearance without undergoing major surgery.

If you’re considering cosmetic procedures to improve your appearance but don’t want to undergo major surgery, then an Instalift may be right for you. The advantages offered by this non-invasive procedure make it worth exploring before opting for more invasive surgical solutions like facial plastic surgery or rhinoplasty. For more information about what an Instalift can do for you, contact SNA Aesthetics in Brooklyn today for a free consultation with Dr. Anna Yatskar – an expert in cosmetic injections! With her help, you’ll be able to find out if this non-invasive solution is right for you, so get started today!

Before & after – Morpheus8 treatment

What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is an advanced treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to trigger the production of collagen. This technology targets deep layers of the skin, reducing wrinkles and lines and improving overall skin tone and texture. It provides a safe, fast, and effective anti-aging solution with long-lasting results.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure involving tiny needles to create microscopic channels in the skin. These channels trigger your body’s natural healing process, which helps promote collagen production and skin rejuvenation. The result is smoother, younger-looking skin with fewer wrinkles or scars.

What Areas of the Body Can You use Morpheus 8 and Microneedling?

The face is one of the most popular areas to use Morpheus8 and microneedling. By targeting deep layers of the skin, these treatments can reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging while also providing a more sculpted look. Additionally, it can target specific areas, such as the jawline and chin, for enhanced facial contours.

The neck is another common area on which both Morpheus8 and microneedling are used. These treatments help reduce wrinkles, sunspots, and other signs of aging in order to achieve a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. We can also use Morpheus8 and microneedling on the abdomen to target stretch marks or scars from pregnancy or surgery. This treatment stimulates collagen production to improve skin elasticity for a tighter, smoother look.

The arms and legs can also benefit from this technology. Morpheus8 can reduce lines and wrinkles in these areas using radiofrequency energy, while microneedling helps diminish scarring from cuts or injuries.

Why Choose a Minimally Invasive Procedure

Many people choose Morpheus8 and microneedling over more invasive procedures because they are non-invasive treatments that provide excellent results with minimal downtime and side effects. Short recovery period in comparison with other procedures, making them ideal for individuals who want to achieve the desired outcome without taking time off work or daily activities. Additionally, both treatments can be used on many areas of the body and offer long-lasting results that improve the look and feel of the skin.

Procedures for Acne Scars

Procedures for Acne Scars 150 150 faceliftart

Acne is the most common skin condition. About 80% of people between the ages of 11 and 30 will have acne, and 1 out of 5 of that population will develop scarring.

Origin of Acne Scars
Acne scars are usually the result of acne inflammation. The inflammation can be caused by a build-up of excess oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria in the pores. When the inflammation leads to swelling the result is acne lesions The skin attempts to repair these lesions by creating new collagen. If the body produces too little or too much collagen, you will see a scar.

Bellafill for Acne Scars
Bellafill is the number one and only long-term FDA-approved filler for acne scar treatment. Bellafill is a collagen-based filler with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). When the body absorbs the collagen from the filler the PMMA remains at the injection site and stimulates your body to produce its own collagen. Bellafill is a long-term solution that can last up to 5 years. Bellafill is best for sunken acne scars that create an uneven skin surface. When injected it adds volume back to the skin restoring fullness and creating a smooth skin surface.

Morpheus8 for Acne Scars
Morpheus8 is a revolutionary combination of radiofrequency (RF) and microneedling that remodels the skin by stimulating collagen. The tiny needles in the Morpheus8 wand can penetrate up to 4 mm, creating tiny perforations under the skin, where radiofrequency waves are then applied. The body naturally responds by creating more collagen in the affected area. The result is firmer, plumper, newly resurfaced skin. Patients will usually need several treatments, ideally 3, and results will develop over time.

Lumecca for Acne Scars
Lumecca is an Intense Pulsing Light (IPL) non-invasive treatment that clears and brightens skin, erasing discoloration associated with acne scarring. It also enhances collagen and elastin production, resulting in firmer, more radiant skin and it restores tone and texture to the skin. Lumecca covers a larger surface area which gives you less downtime, fewer treatments, and better results. In addition, because of the refined cooling technology, Lumecca is much safer and more comfortable than previous IPL devices and laser treatments.

You Are NOT “Too Young”

You Are NOT “Too Young” 150 150 faceliftart

It is much easier to prevent than to correct.

What Is “Too Young”?
It is never advised to have a young adult under the age of 18 come in for cosmetic procedures because they may still be developing and going through the final stages of puberty. After the age of 21 is when a person can start looking into preventative procedures. It is also important to note that genetics, skin type, and lifestyle all have an impact on when to start preventative treatment.

Why Are Preventative Procedures Important?
People tend to stay away from cosmetic procedures until they notice visible flaws and then they arrive to “fix” the issues they see in the mirror. Aesthetic treatments should not be viewed as a final solution, but rather as a routine like the gym or skincare. It is both easier and more cost-effective to prevent wrinkles and folds rather than wait until they get deeper to address them.

Preventative Botox
Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily numbs the muscles. While Botox is used to treat wrinkles it is also successful in preventing them by limiting facial expressions. Botox is injected where the administrator of the neurotoxin can see where the lines will develop, but are not yet visible.

Morpheus8
Procedures such as Morpheus8 also aid in preventing the skin from aging. M8 is a procedure that combines radiofrequency and micro-needling. It is a procedure that is suitable for all skin types and tones. The procedure stimulates collagen resulting in smoother, firmer, and toned skin.

Bellafill
Bellafill is a collagen based dermal filler that lasts up to 5 years making it a good investment when it comes to preventative treatment. Not only is it collagen based, but the filler also teaches your body how to produce its own collagen, so the results continue to develop as time goes on. Bellafill addresses acne scars, volume loss, and other age-related cocerns.

Filler for Men

Filler for Men 150 150 faceliftart

Cosmetic procedures tend to scare men away because of the myth that fillers are only for women and the results will make a male client look too feminine. In reality, filler can chisel the jaw, enhance cheekbones, and extend the chin. Masculinization fillers are getting progressively more popular because the non-invasive procedure has the ability to enhance facial structure.

How Can Filler Create a “Masculine” Look?
Dermal filler can improve the definition of the jaw and increase the appearance of the angles. Filler can be injected into either side of the chin to create a broad and masculine contour. In addition, filler can be injected into the nose to decrease the appearance of any humps and create a more appealing side profile.

Pros of Facial Masculinization
Unlike plastic surgery, facial masculinization via filler is minimally invasive and has no downtime. In addition, the procedure only takes between 45 minutes – 2 hours and the results are immediate. The results are subtle and can also be adjusted by adding more filler.

Silhouette Instalift- Thread Lift

Silhouette Instalift- Thread Lift 150 150 faceliftart

We are pleased to announce that we now offer thread lift procedures! A lot of our clients have been looking forward to this moment, but like with any other treatment, questions and concerns arise.

What Is a Thread Lift?
Instead of surgically removing loose skin the doctor uses dissolving sutures to pull back the skin on the face and jawline which is what creates the “lift.” In addition to lifting the skin, threads stimulate the body to produce more collagen where the procedure was done. Collagen rejuvenates the skin, makes it strong, and gives it volume and glow.

What Is Special About Silhouette Instalift?
Silhouette Instalift threads are designed to grab more tissue in order to gather more skin and as a result, produce a more noticeable lift in the cheeks and jowls.

How Soon Will I See Results?
An immediate lift can be seen from the sutures, but the results will also continue to develop as time goes on. The skin will continue to improve and rejuvenate for 3-6 months after the procedure. Collagen production will be stimulated in the areas of suture placement. The lift is expected to last for 12-24 months, but of course, this varies from patient to patient.

Downtime, Side Effects, & Aftercare
Every patient is different, however, there is virtually no downtime. The side effects are minimal as the patient may experience a little bit of soreness and swelling for 1-3 days. Over-the-counter pain relief will ease any post-procedure discomfort. It is important to follow certain precautions post-procedure as advised by your doctor. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or UV lights. Refrain from applying any cosmetic products where the procedure was complete and avoid strenuous exercise.

Morpheus8 Common Questions

Morpheus8 Common Questions 150 150 faceliftart

Morpheus8 is a revolutionary non-surgical procedure that combines radiofrequency and microneedling for stunning skin rejuvenation. The procedure stimulates collagen production and tightens and smooths the skin.

What Areas Can Be Treated?
Any area of the body that is in need of collagen stimulation. The most common areas are the face and neck that have begun to develop folds and wrinkles or have acne scarring.

Is M8 Painful?
The procedure is relatively painless, however, it is uncomfortable. To ensure that you feel the least amount of pain a numbing cream is applied to the area where the treatment will be.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?
The length of the procedure varies depending on the person and the area that is being worked on, but the average time is between 30-90 minutes.

How Long Do Results Last?
Results vary depending on a person’s metabolism and skincare habits, but usually, they last a year, and afterward upkeep procedures are required

Does M8 Require Upkeep?
For the best results, it is best to do multiple M8 sessions. We recommend coming in every four weeks for a total of three sessions. After the final M8 procedure, it is best to come back every 9-24 months for additional treatment. Returning will ensure collagen production.

Are The Results Immediate?
After the M8 treatment, some immediate results can be seen. However, the results will continue to grow over the course of the next few weeks as new layers of collagen develop. The skin will appear tighter and more radiant.

What Is The Recovery Like?
M8 is a minimally invasive non-surgical procedure, so it requires no downtime. There may be swelling, redness, and scabbing which should go away in a few days. It is important not to scratch the skin or pick at the scabs to avoid irritation.

Who Is A Candidate?
Anyone who is interested in skin rejuvenation. It is always best to come in for a consultation beforehand.

Fillers Gone Wrong

Fillers Gone Wrong 150 150 faceliftart

A valid fear among clients is that after treatment they will look unnatural, but what exactly causes someone to look “fake”?

Incorrect Placement
An injection in the wrong location or at the wrong depth can alter the face shape. The side effects of wrong placement could also be lumpy skin, blockage of blood vessels, and death of skin tissue. It is very important to go to an experienced doctor who has an anatomical understanding of the face. Before you choose your doctor or practitioner it is best to have a consultation.

Too Much Filler
Most fillers have a Hyaluronic Acid (HA) base meaning they attract water to the injection site. While immediate results can be seen it takes a few weeks for the filler to take full effect. Immediate results can be slightly underwhelming, but it is important to be patient. Getting more injections to have an immediate plump look may result in overfilled cheeks after the filler takes full of effect. When it comes to HA fillers a good rule to stick by is “less is more.”

Only Using HA Fillers
While HA fillers are a very effective and good treatment they are not the solution. Before getting HA fillers for the volume it is important to address the elasticity of the skin. If the skin needs tightening then HA fillers may not be the answer. Only using HA fillers may result in stretched skin after the filler dissolves. It is important to combine HA fillers with collagen-stimulating treatments such as radiofrequency, micro-needling, and collagen-based fillers.

How To Prevent Filler Gone Wrong
Have a consultation! It is important to have an initial consultation before choosing a doctor to make sure they are qualified and to find out what treatment is best for YOU.

Botox for TMJ

Botox for TMJ 150 150 faceliftart

Most of us associate Botox with beauty, but while Botox does help keep us youthful and wrinkle-free it can also help with medical conditions such as TMJ.

What is TMJ?
TMJ is a disorder that affects the muscles and joints surrounding the jaw. TMJ causes tightness in the jaw often resulting in headaches, teeth grinding, and pain while chewing. Other symptoms include clicking and locking of the jaw, ear pain, and muscle stiffness. Another unpleasant symptom is that the jaw can appear swollen and bulky due to the overactivity of the muscles.

How does Botox treat TMJ?
Botox is a neurotoxin meaning it temporarily relaxes the muscles in the area where it is injected. For a patient with TMJ, Botox will be injected into the forehead, temples, and jaw muscles. It takes about 10-14 days for the Botox to take full effect. The Botox will block the signals between the nerves and muscles causing the tension in the jaw to subside. Depending on the amount of Botox the patient receives the symptoms of TMJ will decrease or completely stop.

How long does the treatment last?
The treatment lasts for about 3-6 months varying from person to person. Like with all Botox treatments the results will last depending on the patient’s metabolism. During those months the patient will experience a better quality of sleep, fewer headaches, and the jaw will be less tender. Once the Botox wears off in a couple of months more injections will be required in order to keep the jaw muscles relaxed.

What are the side effects?
The actual process of receiving Botox will last about 30 minutes and afterward, there is no downtime. As when receiving Botox for aesthetic purposes the side effects of receiving Botox for TMJ are minimal. The patient may experience redness at the injection site, slight swelling, and bruising. All side effects last between a few hours to a day and should go away on their own.
